Mr. Phelps is an ex-marine from earth who fought with the Asian Alliance.  His face is marked by the many scars he earned in the long, bitter world war (see Gene Gardens).  The Gene Wars changed Earth, and Mr. Phelps, forever.  Phelps’ distrust of clones was hardened in the trenches, though he never had any misconceptions that his mutant status gave him any superiority.  Mutants were responsible for some of the war’s most horrendous atrocities.

After escaping earth on a transport ship, Mr. Phelps used his military earnings to purchase the barely running cargo spaceship “The DeForest”.  His experiences surviving in the under supported military helped him hone skills that have served Mr. Phelps well in space.  In the universe you’ve got to be a do-it-yourself adventurer.

With his companion, Kit Kat, Mr. Phelps has setup shop as a private detective in space.  Together they investigate the vast universe’s mysteries; making many friends along the way…and even more enemies.
